Anthony Sherwin

Professional Baseball Player, Head Trainer

I grew up in a small suburb outside Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, in a family where sports were a way of life. With two parents and two brothers who played, I quickly learned the value of hard work, competition, and passion—qualities that shaped my journey and helped me achieve my dreams through relentless effort.

After graduating from Penn Trafford High School in 2020, I experienced firsthand what it felt like to lose the game I loved when my senior season was canceled. That moment fueled my determination to never take baseball for granted and to give everything I had on the field. Later that year, I began my collegiate career at Bucknell University, earning the starting shortstop position as a freshman and never looking back. My time at Bucknell was invaluable, not only for the relationships I built, but also for the deeper understanding of the game I developed. With that knowledge and mindset, I became the player I always aspired to be, which ultimately led to my opportunity to play professional baseball. I signed with the Houston Astros as an Undrafted Free Agent and will enter my second full season in the minor leagues this spring, living out a dream that still feels surreal every day.

While I was fortunate to have strong mentors throughout my early career, I never had a relatable figure to guide me through the higher levels of the game. My goal now is to be that mentor for the next generation, providing them with the guidance and insight I wish I had, helping them navigate the challenges of the sport, and ensuring they are prepared for every opportunity that comes their way.
